Waltonchain Team Members Visited Welfare Center in Nan’an, Fujian On Jan. 21st, 2018, Xu Fangcheng, the founder of the Waltonchain Project in China, led a group of volunteers from the Waltonchain Team and the Quanzhou Elite League Welfare Association to the Shishan Town Welfare Center, Nan’an City, to visit the elderly and orphans. Shishan Welfare Center introduction by its Director Waltonchain co-founder Xu Fangcheng greets the elderlyThe director of Shishan Welfare Center introduced the history and development progress of the center and expressed his respect and appreciation to all the volunteers. The Shishan Welfare Center was established in 1993 and donated by Cai Shiliang, an overseas Chinese citizen. It is the first private welfare center in the whole of China and the only one in Nan’an. The Welfare Center provides the elderly and orphans with clothing, food, shelter and education at its own expense. Since its establishment, the Welfare Center has helped approximately 400 orphans and underprivileged children, some of which are now adults that readily give back to their local communities, contributing to the society in different industries. Xu Fangcheng gives gifts to childrenDuring the activity, volunteers brought cakes, fruits, and provided donations to the lonely elderly and children living in the Welfare Center with the most sincere care of the Waltonchain team. The volunteers interacted with the elderly and children and played games. The Welfare Center was filled with joy and laughter, which warmed the heart of every volunteer. The bright smiles of the elderly and the children made the Waltonchain team deeply aware of their role in pioneering efforts such as this in the future.
