Mark: "I have over 20 years of tech expertise across a number of traditional software companies based out of Australia. I have had the opportunity to work with one of the earliest social platforms MSN which was well ahead of its time, followed by a number of years leading tech teams in the streaming media industry. In recent years prior to moving to the web3 industry full-time, I spent a significant number of years in the health industry including working on the COVID-19 digital response program for the Australian Government. I have been involved with web3 and blockchain now for over 6 years and founded Itheum in 2016."

Praveen: "My operational experience spans over 20 years where I have worked primarily on both software startups and scaleups across a number of regions. Being an Electrical Engineer by qualification, the first company I founded when I was in my mid-twenties focused on providing engineering software for the fledgling resources sector in Western Australia. I later moved on to the hospitality industry where I worked on a SaaS software scale-up based out of India, servicing the world and helping it scale its solution globally across 30+ countries. In 2020 I joined Mark to work on Itheum given our shared passion for data ownership and the next generation of technology."

<h2 class="customH2">In 2016 you launched Itheum, the world’s first decentralized multi-chain data brokerage platform built on MultiversX. How did you come up with Itheum? And are you still following Itheum’s original vision for the project? </h2>

<div class="answer">
Itheum was created as a modular technology platform consisting of building blocks required to deploy various tech solutions for both end users and enterprises. The early adoption of the platform included solutions built targeting the health industry such as the “Red Heart Challenge” (https://itheum.com/redheartchallenge) - A cardiovascular monitoring platform and “OK Pulse” (<a href="https://itheum.com/okpulse">https://itheum.com/okpulse</a>) - A employee wellness and mental health check-in platform. The name “Itheum” translates to “Heart” in our native language of Tamil (the oldest living language in the world) which was a fitting name considering Itheum’s origins were in the health space.

As the years progressed Itheum’s vision evolved to that of empowerment in “data ownership”. With a goal of creating an open-source suite of tools focused on bringing the ownership of data back to the individual and away from the grasp of data brokers that stole, hoarded, and traded data without any benefit to the creator. This vision was only achievable through the adoption of the core pillars of the next generation of technology - web3 - ownership, decentralization, and transparency. Itheum had a lot of its early technology concepts deployed across EVM chains and gained a reputation in the web3 space through participation in a number of hackathons where Itheum won 1st place in hackathons such as the Filecoin, Hedera and PlatOn competitions and also had winning positions in the Moralis, Polygon and MultiversX hackathons. In 2021 Itheum was provided with the opportunity to be incubated and funded by a leading investment firm in the space - Morningstar Ventures which lead to its IDO on the MultiversX (formerly Elrond) Blockchain in early 2022. 

Itheum’s mission continues to remain unchanged in its focus to provide infrastructure and technology to projects and platforms that empower data creators through ownership of their data and the ability to be transparently and fairly rewarded for the data that they create.

<h2 class="customH2">Last March, you announced Panacare DAO, which aims to transform the healthcare system. Can you tell us more about this?</h2>

<div class="answer">
As Itheum always had a passion for the healthcare space it was one of our goals to explore the deployment of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization that could lay the foundation and be a good use case for the sector. We were fortunate to be introduced to a number of European health organizations that were keen to bring ownership, consent, and interoperability between their users. Thus commenced the journey of Panacare DAO with Itheum playing a key role as the technology enabler for DAO participants to explore how DAOs, Blockchain and Web3 could revolutionize the industry.

The road so far has been encouraging and there is a lot that the DAO needs to explore and the commitment of the board members has been exemplary with multiple proposals passed via the DAO and an interesting pipeline of ideas to come. These include adopting a regulatory framework for data sharing between companies within the DAO and third parties in addition to standarizing formats and defining guidelines for data exchange.
</div>

<h2 class="customH2">Why is health data important? Why should we care and how is blockchain helping in the matter?</h2>

<div class="answer">
One of the most sensitive and private aspects of us as individuals is the data pertaining to our health. In most regions around the world, this type of data is considered to be the most sensitive and thus has significant protection measures for processing, storing, and exchange. Due to these stringent requirements, our health data is usually “siloed off” by healthcare providers which can be detrimental in some cases since data needs to be exchanged so that we may benefit from a better diagnosis when problems with our health arise. One of the largest problems in the health space is the inability of individuals or patients to own their own health data and share this data with whom they wish to share it via a consent-driven and transparent mechanism. When consent is provided, it is important that an individual has complete transparency on what their data is being used for and also be rewarded for its value to the consumer. By sharing this data through consent, there is a significant benefit to consumers of this data which includes healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, insurance providers, etc. to tailor better and more personalized solutions for consumers. In addition, since the data quality and lineage are not in doubt due to the transparent way in which the data is exchanged, there is a significant improvement in the return on investment for data consumers.

The above situation currently could not be achieved with the current walled gardens between systems and the roadblocks in place for seamless data exchange. With the advent of web3, blockchain, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) technology and its pillars mentioned earlier of ownership and transparency it may be finally possible to pursue usable solutions for the processing of health data.
</div>

<h2 class="customH2">Itheum has been chosen to join the coveted Sony X Astar Network Web3 Incubation Program. What does this opportunity represent for Itheum?</h2>

<div class="answer">
Itheum is currently in the process of deploying its Data NFT and Marketplace technology to the MultivbersX blockchain. The next steps of Itheum include investigating and deploying technology into other blockchains as part of its multi-chain strategy. This would result in a comprehensive omni-chain experience for users of the Itheum protocol opening doors to adoption across multiple blockchains.

The opportunity to be a part of the Sony x Astar Network program provided us with three major benefits. One was to be able to harness a new region of expansion for the Itheum community given the Astar Networks' strong presence in Japan and South East Asia. Second, to be able to build and deploy a cross-chain minimum viable product (MVP) to an alternate blockchain thereby evaluating Itheum’s tech as being cross-chain compatible. And last but not least, have the valuable opportunity of interacting with the Sony Corporation to build relationships, and explore opportunities in the realm of web3 and blockchain.

We also as part of this program built an MVP showcasing the ability for Sony PlayStation Gamers to import their gameplay data and mint this as an Itheum Data NFT thereby providing opportunities for gamers to trade their valuable gaming data. <h2 class="customH2">Just one month later, in April, you also confirmed a strategic partnership with the Web3 infrastructure project Bware Labs to integrate its API service, BlastAPI, into your protocol. What is the main benefit of this collaboration?</h2>

For a protocol such as Itheum to develop, adopt and roll-out cutting edge solutions technology partnerships are a key ingredient. We firmly believe in utilizing and partnering with technology providers who provide best-in-class solutions in their chosen areas of specialty.

<a href="https://medium.com/itheum-newsletter/itheum-announces-strategic-technology-partnership-with-bware-labs-to-advance-data-ownership-and-eb672c9df384">Bware Labs</a> has a notable reputation in the space and is a key provider of multi-chain scaling solutions. Itheum’s partnership with Bware Labs is key to Itheum’s goal of being a multi-chain protocol. Itheum will utilize Blast API’s multi-chain solution as a gateway to allow seamless look-up and aggregation of on-chain user data across all of Itheum protocol’s data and identity solutions.

The ideal end-state of this integration would be allowing a web3 user who is active across multiple blockchains to aggregate their data and identity and then take ownership of this multi-chain, high-value data footprint via the Itheum protocol.

<h2 class="customH2">You have recently opened the whitelisting process to allow users to mint their data set as NFT and list them on your data marketplace. What makes your Data NFT marketplace so unique?</h2>

<div class="answer">
We are nearing the launch of our Data NFT Marketplace which is a major milestone for Itheum as it showcases two fundamental protocol functions, the ability to license data streams using NFT Technology and trade these Data NFTs in a peer-to-peer manner via the marketplace. As part of the launch, we will also be showcasing Data NFTs in action via the Itheum Trailblazer, the very 1st Data NFT on MultiversX. Holders of these Data NFT’s will be able to participate in token-gated quests, quizzes, and activities including the ability to obtain exclusive early access to product launches accessed via the Trailblazer Data NFT Stream. We have also had a great response from a variety of data creators who are keen to unlock value in some unique datasets of their own which will progressively be made available once the Data NFT Marketplace opens.

The Itheum Data NFT Marketplace is unique in the fact that it provides a familiar experience to a traditional NFT marketplace hosting multiple NFT collections. Interacting and procuring Data NFTs is intuitive and designed with the end user in mind. We have worked hard on cutting out as much of the complexity as possible enabling creators to easily mint and list their Data NFT’s. End users will also have the ability to retrade their Data NFTs much like regular NFTs with clear transparency on the data creator including the ability for data creators to continually benefit and be rewarded via retrade royalties.

<h2 class="customH2">What are the plans for the near future? Anything you would like to share with our readers?</h2>

With the launch of our tech this month we are excited for the next phase of Itheum as we now look to onboard integrators and data creators onto the platform and help them unleash their data as a new asset class.  We will be working hard as a team to ensure we seek out valuable data creators from a variety of verticals and a diverse range of data sets to inspire and help data creators embrace this new revolution in data ownership. 

Our <a href="http://itheum.io/roadmap">tech roadmap</a> which is public provides clarity on what is to come over the coming quarters as we work on deploying soulbound badges, execute our multi-chain strategy, and work towards NFMe-ID - your data avatar that brings all the various components together.

<h2 class="customH2">Finally, we have a lot of builders and future project builders in our community. Can you please share your most significant achievement and most extensive challenge at Itheum so far? Any advice for people looking to start something in the space?</h2>

<div class="answer">
The Itheum journey has had its ups and downs and as founders in the web3 space, there were always numerous challenges to overcome. From an operational perspective, it's important to structure the project and its attached businesses in a way that provides flexibility yet be weary of the ever-changing landscape globally in terms of regulation. One of the greatest benefits of working in web3 is the diversity and the ability to work across borders and countries which wouldn’t be easily achievable with a traditional tech business. From a tech perspective, working in this space is very different as well from deploying traditional web2 tech. The complexity and thoroughness required when deploying complex bits of code such as smart contracts can be overwhelming at times and requires a lot of discipline as unlike traditional technology rolling out changes, fixes, etc. are not as easy or favorable. The immutability and transparency of the blockchain demands substantially more attention to detail.  

One of the larger challenges that we face is that Itheum technology is very new and can be complex to understand initially even for those already familiar with web3. We have and continue to invest a significant amount of time and energy in breaking down and simplifying things so that adoption and understanding get better. Fortunately, we have decades of traditional software experience between us which has helped us continue to refine, redefine and pivot and keep evolving our messaging to reach and convert the target audience.

This web3 space is the future and its foundations are strong with ownership and decentralization at its core which is why it appeals to and connects with the younger generation in a way in which no traditional technology can. Founders who venture out into this space now will face a variety of challenges unlike startups in the traditional space and the learning curves are steep, but those resilient enough to survive will be trailblazers.

<h2 class="customH2">Hi Sami, how are you? First, please share a bit about yourself and why you entered the crypto space.</h2>

I am the CEO and founder of five international game development studios operating since 2015 (France, Japan, Brazil, Hungary and England). My studios have produced more than fifty video games on different platforms such as Nintendo, Sony, Xbox, Steam and Android. Some of these games are reaching more than 1 million downloads annually. Prior to this, I was an accomplished film producer in France. 

As I am very passionate about art and trading cards and have been collecting trading cards for over 27 years, I’ve seen tremendous opportunity in how NFTs and cryptocurrency can influence the gaming industry.  It’s a no-brainer for me to join this space. I have dived into the NFT space and have one of the largest collections on Foundation.app.

Powered by the Layer 2 ImmutableX, Cross The Ages is a fantasy fiction trading card game divided into seven series. Each series is based on a novel created by renowned writers from Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Marvel. Please tell us more about this!

Cross the Ages (CTA) is a free-to-play gaming metaverse set in a dystopian  world where fantasy and science fiction meet. Cross the Ages is based on seven free-to-read novels, which will be authored and published over the coming years and translated into several languages.

The first book of the Cross the Ages series, The Chrome Spell Book, was written by a team of writers, led by accomplished science-fiction novelist, Arnaud Dollen. Acting narrative conductor for the series is well-known French sci-fi and fantasy writer, Alain Damasio, who has sold more than one million copies of his book, Les Furtifs. Additional talent includes Norbert Merjagnan, winner of the Nouveau Grand Prix de la Science-Fiction Française for his book Les Tours de Samarante, and Pablo Servigne who has co-authored eight best-selling books. 

Cross the Ages employs more than 80 artists internationally to design the captivating visuals of the game. These artists are renowned for their work for iconic franchises, including Joshua Cairos, who worked on Game of Thrones and Star Wars, Josu Salano who worked on Lord of the Rings, Andreas Rochas who worked on Harry Potter, and Sandra Duchiewitcz of Marvel Entertainment.

Cross The Ages’ economy leverages three tokens: Crystals, Gold, and the CTA Token. Why did you decide to implement a tri-token setup, and what’s the relationship between the tokens?
</h2>

<div class="answer">
Token: There will be three currencies related to the CTA TCG: Trisel, Prana and CTA. Previously, the name we used for Trisel was Gold and Crystal for Prana. We have officially changed these names for a more immersive experience into the<a href="https://www.crosstheages.com/the-chrome-spell-book"> lore of Cross The Ages</a>.

The utility of these currencies are as follows:

Trisel is used for any in-game transformation between assets such as crafting as well as free cosmetics (sounds, emotes, card back…)

Prana is mainly used to acquire off-chain assets such as Chests or paid cosmetics.

CTA Token is used for any on-chain activity such as minting, trading, participating in E-tournaments, transforming NFT cards to NFC (physical cards), and ect.

NFT information and utilities: Cross the Ages is revolutionising the gaming landscape with an innovative NFT collectible card game (CCG) that welcomes veteran players and novices alike. One of the main features users can benefit from is having full ownership of their NFT playing cards that can be purchased, sold, traded, and even converted into physical versions of each digital asset. It’s an ecosystem that caters to players who love an immersive metaverse experience and also to those who prefer the more traditional method of tabletop games with friends. This seamless integration of digital and physical collectible card gaming makes CTA a very promising player in a market in need of a true disruptor.

<h2 class="customH2">The player’s goal is to control the maximum space of the battle arena using 20 digital cards, out of which 10 cards are randomly selected to form the deck. Can you tell us more about the game’s duels?</h2>

<div class="answer">
Cross The Ages: TCG - A trading card game where players compete to capture more space than their opponent on the game board. They strategically use battle cards and field cards to dominate their opponent and ultimately win the game. The game is designed in a “blitz” format. Each player only has five minutes to play their turn. The maximum duration for an entire game is therefore only ten minutes, making Cross The Ages an addictive experience that leaves your brain wanting more. Players have to both  “Play Fast” and “Play Smart” in order to win. 

The arena from the Cross The Ages universe, Appologium, is based on 7 fantasy and sci-fi novels. It is here where players are immersed in an intense one vs one battle. They collect cards from a collection of +350 characters through chest rewards, daily quests, special events like e-sports competitions, or token holding. These cards can be upgraded and merged into more powerful versions: alternative and alternative combo cards.

They can reach for the Immutable X marketplace to trade their assets freely: buy and sell cards or even borrow and lend them to other players. By completing the entire collection of CTA, they will also be able to bring their digital cards to physical use, by turning their NFT into NFC: Non-Fungible Cards.

<h2 class="customH2">You guys successfully launched your game, which is now available in the Apple Store and Google Play. What is the strategy to attract more users, especially outside the web3 space?</h2>

<div class="answer">
Indeed, we are excited about the successful launch of Cross The Ages on the Apple Store and Google Play. As you mentioned, we want to attract more users, especially those who are not familiar with the web3 space. To achieve this goal, we have developed a comprehensive marketing strategy that includes several key components.

Firstly, we are actively engaging with influencers, bloggers, and content creators who have a large following in the gaming community. We believe that their endorsement of our game will help us reach a wider audience.

Secondly, we are using social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to promote the game and interact with potential users. We have also created a subreddit for Cross The Ages, where users can discuss the game, ask questions, and share tips and tricks.

Thirdly, we are actively participating in gaming events and conferences to showcase our game and engage with potential users. This will give us an opportunity to receive feedback from users and make necessary changes to improve the game.

Lastly, we are working on developing partnerships with other game developers to cross-promote our game and reach a wider audience. We believe that these partnerships will help us expand our user base and create a sustainable ecosystem for the game.

We are grateful to have received support from such reputable companies and investors, and we are committed to using the raised capital and strategic resources to build a successful and sustainable game.

Currently, we are allocating the raised capital towards the development of new features and content for Cross The Ages. We want to provide our users with a seamless and engaging gaming experience that keeps them coming back for more. In addition, we are investing in marketing and user acquisition efforts to expand our user base and attract new players to the game.

Furthermore, the strategic resources that have come along with our partnerships are invaluable to us. We are collaborating with our partners to access their expertise and resources, and to develop new opportunities for Cross The Ages.

Overall, our goal is to use the raised capital and strategic resources to create a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem for Cross The Ages. We are excited about the future of the game and are committed to delivering a world-class gaming experience for our users.

Thank you for asking that question. We have faced many challenges and achieved several milestones throughout our journey with Cross The Ages.

One of our most significant achievements to date is the successful launch of the game on Apple Store and Google Play. This was a significant milestone for us, as it marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication by our team. We are proud of the fact that we were able to deliver a high-quality game that has received positive reviews and feedback from our users.

One of the most extensive challenges we faced was the development of the game's blockchain infrastructure. We knew from the outset that we wanted Cross The Ages to be a blockchain-based game, as we believed that this would provide a unique and engaging gaming experience for our users. However, building the necessary infrastructure was a complex and challenging process that required significant resources and expertise. But we are grateful for having the opportunity with the best chain possible in the current market to solve these challenges. 

Another significant challenge was balancing the game's complexity with accessibility. Cross The Ages is a strategic board game that can be challenging for new players to learn and navigate. Therefore, we had to strike a balance between providing a deep and engaging gaming experience while ensuring that the game was accessible to all players, regardless of their level of experience. 

Overall, our most significant achievement has been the successful launch of the game, while our most extensive challenge has been developing the game's blockchain infrastructure and balancing its complexity with accessibility. We are proud of what we have accomplished so far and are excited about the future of Cross The Ages.

<h2 class="customH2">Your team is currently developing a free-to-play dystopian metaverse. What can we expect from the launch, and when are you planning the release?</h2>

Our plans include the development of multiple games, apart from the trading card game. However, we have chosen not to label our virtual universe as a metaverse. Instead, we have given it a unique name, "The Reverse". The concept behind The Reverse is to provide players with the ability to generate value within the game and then physically transfer it to the real world. While I am unable to disclose further information at this time, I can confirm that the project is scheduled for release in early 2024.

Hi! I don’t like to talk much about myself, but I am excited to talk more about the topics that have been my greatest passion for over half of my life, such as technology and building solutions that have a positive impact on the way we live our lives. I am a serial entrepreneur, extremely passionate about tech products and emerging innovations in the space of AI, web3 and synthetic media.

As the co-founder and CEO of Humans.ai, I am happy I get to work with some of the greatest minds that share my passion for development and for using technology to redesign a better future for us all. I strongly believe that, if we can create any world, a new world, we should build the perfect world. It’s important to learn from mistakes from the past and try to do things differently.

So, starting from scratch, we can design it like the world that we have dreamed of - one in which we want to own, not only to participate in; one in which we want everything to be fully transparent and to evolve through limitless scalability, to grow at a tremendous pace without anything to stop us. This is the web3 we are building,  the principles that define me as an entrepreneur and with the greatest tool ever invented - AI, which is revolutionising everything and has tremendous unexplored potential in the web3 space.

<h2 class="customH2">What would you like to share about your journey in the Web3 space?</h2>

My journey into the web3 space started with my intense preoccupation with the ethical use of AI in general and the need to control this powerful tool, while also fueling its scalability.

The AI tool is so disruptive from the others. It’s a tool that creates other tools. It’s an invention that will create other inventions. It's the last invention ever built by us humans. Depending on how we decide to use this tool, depending on the framework that this tool will live in, it will make all the difference. It can scale our potential beyond our imagination.

Regarding the ethical use of AI and because it’s a tool so powerful that it can help you create anything, maybe I don't want to create anything with my AI voice. I want to create and control. I believe that the truth is the business of the future. The main responsibility of our generation is to know the truth. And it’s becoming harder and harder to know it. My AI powered synthetic voice tricked my mom that it’s the real me on the phone. Technology can empower us to become almost super-humans by using AI, but only with the right framework: ownership, transparency and governance. And I realised we can achieve this by using AI and Blockchain together.

My mission with Humans.ai has been to encourage the ethical use of AI, by building the right framework in which the AI models can be trained, secured, and put to work in our best interest.

<h2 class="customH2">What is Humans.ai? How does AI, as a vertical, integrate with Web3, and can you give a few use cases already out there?</h2>

I like to say that we at Humans.ai are in the business of scaling human potential. How? By combining the power of Blockchain with Artificial Intelligence and empowering humans to benefit from the new technologies to create anything they can imagine. 

So, we have created the first blockchain for AIs in the world. By leveraging complex artificial intelligence neural networks and blockchain, we can enable anyone to create and produce at scale, regardless of their tech prowess. 

I now believe that a year spent in artificial intelligence is enough to make one believe in God… As we are entering an era of continuous disruption, we are empowered to create and scale our potential into the infinite, or to even gain immortality and continue to live forever in the digital world. 

When I heard my AI talking in Portuguese or French (languages I do not speak) for the first time and when I played with Chat GPT for the first time, I understood that this is the end of the world as we know it. And we need to unlearn everything that we know, and open our minds to a different tomorrow. 

The AI economy will surpass our current economy. That’s a huge opportunity for the builders of the future and even bigger for humanity as a whole. I believe that in the not so distant future there will be two species: humans and humans dot AI.

This is why with Humans.ai we aim to empower the next-generation through an ecosystem around the use of AI, to create at scale. Decentralised AI will be the new order in artificial intelligence.

As AI is slowly consuming the world, enriching industries and businesses, at Humans.ai we aim to assist the transition of artificial intelligence, AI models and AI-based solutions from the centralised Web2 domain to a decentralised paradigm, where AI becomes a democratised asset that is constantly monitored by real humans to ensure its ethical use.

To make our vision for an AI economy a reality, we have created the first blockchain for AIs, an ecosystem tailored to mitigate some of the most pressing issues that revolve around the execution, monetization and governance of AI. But this is just the tip of the technological iceberg, as the Humans.ai Blockchain pushes beyond the limitations associated with blockchain technology, such as the lack of interoperability, to bring the execution and management of artificial intelligence into the Web3 era. Using the Cosmos SDK as a foundation, the Humans.ai Blockchain is the first interoperable blockchain infrastructure from the Cosmos ecosystem that can store, manage and ethically deploy AI.

The biggest technical and adoption challenge is Interoperability. You are  able to mint your AI in the blockchain of AIs. To mint an AI capable of empowering you to speak in Chinese, or any other language, to have the proof of ownership and the private key to run it. But, in order to be accessible we need to have the blockchain of AIs interoperable, to be compatible and easily plugable into any existing or new ecosystem.  We passed the technical test, with over 1000 validators enrolled in our Testnet. Now, we are excited to pass the adoption test.

<h2 class="customH2">You are planning to deploy your Mainnet at the end of May. What can users expect from the upgrade, and how do you plan to grow your ecosystem further?</h2>

The Humans.ai mainnet will be live on May 29th. I am very excited for the Humans.ai Blockchain gearing up to take the world of AI and blockchain by becoming the first blockchain in the world, able to store, execute and manage artificial intelligence.

But changing the world doesn’t happen overnight. Our team building the Blockchain for AIs is working around the clock to deliver and fine-tune this cutting-edge infrastructure.

With the Humans.ai Mainnet, delegators (users) will be able to stake their tokens with their validator of choice to secure the network. They will be able to shape the direction of the Humans.ai blockchain by submitting and voting on-chain governance proposals. They will also be empowered to decide to change global parameters, upgrade the network or even decide how community funds are spent. Also, delegators will be able to interact with other IBC-enabled projects in Cosmos after the governance proposal to enable it will pass.

An important advantage is that users will see a sharp decrease in fees compared to the Ethereum network, while still being able to use our network with the world’s most popular web3 wall browser extension, Metamask. They will be able to interact on-chain with the AIs present in the AI Library to create varied AI generated synthetic media.

The Humans.ai Blockchain is evolving as an infrastructure that supports the AI economy and AI-driven world we are steadily heading into. One of the main characteristics of decentralised AI is that it enables privacy and security. In a centralised system, all data is stored in a single location, making it more vulnerable to hacking and other cybersecurity threats. In contrast, a decentralised AI system stores data across a network of devices, making it more difficult for hackers to hijack sensitive information because there is no single point of failure. 

With the Humans.ai Blockchain, all the data is distributed across multiple systems and users. This design choice is particularly useful for applications that involve sensitive information, such as finance, healthcare and even government records.

Another valuable characteristic of decentralised AI is that it is more efficient. With centralised AI systems, all processing takes place in a single location, which usually leads to bottlenecks and traffic congestion that results in slower response times. In contrast, a decentralised system distributes processing across a network of devices, enabling faster and more efficient processing, making it invaluable for applications that require real-time decision-making, such as autonomous vehicles.

Decentralised AI will also be more scalable than centralised AI. With a centralised system, adding more processing power requires expensive hardware upgrades. This is known as vertical scaling, the process through which a system is upgraded with more powerful equipment to increase its performance. The main drawback is that high-tech equipment leads to a huge spike in costs. In contrast, a decentralised system scales more efficiently by simply adding more devices to the network. This is known as horizontal scaling, which is a more cost-effective and flexible option for applications that require varying levels of processing power.

As I mentioned, our mission to democratise artificial intelligence and enhance collaboration and cooperation during its development, made possible through our Blockchain for AIs.

<h2 class="customH2">Your native token, $HEART, is often labelled “The fuel of AIs.” Could you tell us more about its utility and how users and businesses can take advantage of it?</h2>

I usually say that $HEART is basically the heartbeat of the Humans.ai ecosystem. Our history is a story of creators. We at Humans.ai are building the ecosystem that empowers people to raise, control, and own artificial intelligence. By combining the power of blockchain with Artificial Intelligence, Humans.ai allows anyone anywhere to create and scale their potential to the infinite. How do we do it? The answer rests in our unique token backed by humans. The  $HEART token enables anyone to participate in the governance of the ecosystem and facilitate key flows of value within it.

Governance is paramount in the Humans.ai ecosystem, as we are putting humans at the forefront of the AI revolution with the sole objective to align the AI’s objective with ours. Governance stems from everything we do, thus, $HEART plays the central role in the governance and payments system within the Humans.ai ecosystem.

Also, Humans.ai utilises NFTs to recognize assets within its ecosystem - algorithms, data, AIs - and ensures contributions to delivering valuable outcomes are adequately accounted for and recognized. Basically, $HEART also serves as the default incentive as various stakeholders contribute key value. Of course, we are most excited for our much awaited Humans.ai Blockchain, but we are working on several other products that we look forward to revealing to our community soon, which are also benefiting from the AI and blockchain synergy.

At the basis of what we do in the AI spaces is that we need humans in the loop. AI will not replace us, but a person using AI will. So, we want to make things interesting for the web3 community, by empowering them to use an advanced AI companion to help them in navigating the web3 space.

It is called BrainBrain and it’s an advanced proprietary large language model, trained intensively on web3 data. This solution is something completely unique, far from any other smart chat solutions on the market using ChatGPT APIs to interact with users. 

I don’t want to give away too much, as we will make the big reveal soon, but I am very excited to see how it will disrupt the way users interact with the web3 space. 

Our BrainBrain solution will be the most advanced web3 AI powered companion for the crypto community and beyond, empowering users to own their curiosity and offer a real advantage with amazing real time market insights, in a very friendly and easy to use environment.

The AIVERSE is basically our complex ecosystem that fuses artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to set the foundation which will unite AI developers, researchers, and consumers to easily adopt AI solutions, while guaranteeing safe and ethical usage. 

Humans.ai’s AIVERSE will address some of the major dysfunctions present in the current AI status quo. As AI is rapidly gaining traction all around the world, benefiting numerous industries and businesses, our mission is to assist the transition of artificial intelligence, AI models, and AI-based solutions from the centralised Web2 domain, where giants of the tech industry hold the reins to innovation development, to a decentralised environment, where artificial intelligence is becoming a democratised asset. By merging AI with blockchain, we aim to give people control and ownership over the future evolution of the technology. The AIVERSE offers access to advanced technology, supporting people in building more agile solutions and the tech companies of the future.

What is a crypto exchange?  </h2>

A cryptocurrency exchange is where you can buy and sell crypto. You can find different combinations of cryptocurrencies to trade on a crypto exchange. For example, you can trade Bitcoin for US Dollars (BTC/USD), Bitcoin for Euros (BTC/EUR), or Ethereum for US Dollars (ETH/USD). Decentralized exchanges, however, only let you trade one cryptocurrency for another, like Ethereum for USDC (ETH/USDC). 

A crypto exchange can do two types of trading: spot and futures. Spot trading is when you buy a cryptocurrency to own it. In futures trading, you buy the right to purchase the crypto while speculating on the market.

A centralized cryptocurrency exchange, operated by a third party, oversees transactions, safeguards assets, and offers the infrastructure for trading. Transactions occur primarily off-chain on the exchange's central server. Such exchanges are subject to regulations like KYC and AML to maintain legality.

Centralized exchanges, favored by regular users, function as intermediaries between cryptocurrency buyers and sellers. Users deposit cryptocurrencies into exchange-controlled wallets for trading while the exchange manages trades, custody, and regulatory compliance.

A couple of well-known examples of CEXs are: Deskoin, Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken

<h2 class="customH2" style="line-height:1.38;">How does a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) work </h2>

Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) have emerged as alternatives to centralized exchanges (CEXs) in the past few years. Unlike CEXs, DEXs operate without intermediaries, relying on blockchain technology and transparent smart contracts for direct peer-to-peer transactions. 

In DEXs, transactions are facilitated through wallets. Most of the time DEXs do not require a KYC, allowing them to stay anonymous. “Not your keys, not your coins”, is often a term referred to by those using Decentralized Exchanges, as CEXs often hold custody of assets, where DEXs allow users to manage their private keys and secure their funds. r regulatory oversight, instead relying on automated market makers to match trades.

A couple of well-known examples of DEXs are: Uniswap, Hashflow, Paraswap, Chainflip, and 1Inch

Advantages and disadvantages: 
</h2>

Centralized exchanges (CEXs) have several advantages, including user-friendly interfaces, a wide variety of crypto for people to trade, and more liquidity. Furthermore, since CEXs are regulated, institutional investors and traders are more keen on using the exchanges. On the other hand, decentralized exchanges (DEXs) present benefits like privacy, which caters to those without access to traditional bank accounts. and they have reduced transaction fees. DEXs also have lower transaction fees and allow users to lend, borrow, and stake on the dapps. 

Nevertheless, both exchanges have their drawbacks. CEXs don’t allow users direct control over wallet keys, leaving users vulnerable to losing their assets in case of fraud, shutdown, or bankruptcy – for example, with what happened to FTX. 

Unlike CEXs, DEXs typically hold less liquidity due to a smaller user base. Furthermore, the lack of regulation exposes DEXs to potential illegal activities, discouraging participation from more significant investors. Finally, DEXs often need more comprehensive customer support, which can be challenging for users who need assistance.

Projects with an initial market cap lower than their expected fair value have the potential for significant returns, as the market tends to align the token price with its fair value after the TGE. Generally, projects that launch with a lower-than-expected market cap are likely to increase in value until they reach their fair value. On the other hand, projects with a higher-than-expected market cap, often due to a temporary influx of orders, may eventually regress to a lower, fairer market cap.

Deep dive into its price history, trading volume, and number of holders: Study the token's price charts to identify its highs and lows of the previous year, month, week, and 24-hour period. <a href="https://www.tradingview.com/" style="text-decoration:none;">TradingView</a> and <a href="https://www.coinigy.com/en/" style="text-decoration:none;">Coinigy</a> allow you to read charts and candles. Check its backers: Conduct due diligence on the project’s associated backers/investors. This involves examining the project's early supporters and paying close attention to noteworthy venture capital (VC) funds and angel investors who have come on board. Projects usually list prominent backers on their websites, primarily applicable to those receiving venture funding. Looking for well-respected VC funds with a proven track record and backers with a history of adding significant value to projects through marketing assistance, strategic guidance, development expertise, or other valuable contributions is ideal. It is also important to consider why industry experts may have chosen not to support the project.

	<li style="list-style-type:decimal;">
Learn more about the team: More than often, you can find information about the founders and team members on the project's website or via news articles. Find out what background the founders have, if they have built start-ups in the past, what their skills are etc. Both teams and investors are paramount to the project, so the more impressive the resume, the better for the project.

	<li style="list-style-type:decimal;">
Ensure you understand the technology and product: Crypto projects can be daunting and difficult to understand, especially if you are a newcomer. Before investing, make sure you understand what the utility of the asset is or what the “problem” the project is trying to solve.

Find out the project’s product-market fit: According to the previous bullet, understanding the problem the project is trying to solve will also help you identify its product market and growth potential. Important to note that make sure your sources are credible. Trend and market analyses by big consulting firms, credited business reviews, and institutional VCs are usually good sources of information during your due diligence.

	<li style="list-style-type:decimal;">
Check its community size and engagement: How many Twitter followers, Discord members, and other social media followers does the project have? If it’s an undervalued asset, these numbers might be low, but keeping an eye on them will indicate the project's growth potential.

Take a look at its Social Media content: While checking out the amount of followers, scroll through the type of content. Is it engaging, high quality, and does the team communicate on a regular basis? Frequent posting and updates are also a good sign of a strong project with a goal to grow.

Deep dive into the tokenomics and token utility: More than often, the project has a whitepaper, litepaper, or tokenomics section on its website. Considering the tokens utility is important as it indicates what investors and holders will gain. A factor to consider is that even if the project is <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/5-ways-to-spot-an-undervalued-project" style="text-decoration:none;">solid highly inflationary tokenomics could lead to price suppressions if there isn’t enough utility. </a>Take a look at the projects vesting schedules, adisors, and if the project is taking measure to reduce the circulating supply - such as thought staking or burn mechanics.

Read other “Undervalued Assets” articles: Plenty of articles list the most undervalued assets of the month or the year. Though these are a great way to start, more often than, when a project or asset has already made its way to articles or Twitter, it might be too late – meaning the asset is not as “undervalued” as it would have been months ago.
