The Who Cares For Beer Festival (Bevog) Review

Not even threatening rain and ominous clouds stopped me from getting to Bevog’s Beer Festival in Austria! It was an edifying experience. Here is the gist of it! As soon as we arrived we rushed to the cashiers to get some spending tokens. There was a brief period without rain which, in all honesty, did downplay the mood somewhat. The prices were… steep. 5€ for your glass which was non-refundable this year. A nice souvenir! One token was priced at 0.90€ with 50 deal costing 40€ (0.80€ per token). 2 tokens for 1ml means a whooping price of 3.2€ for 0.2 ml of the selected beer (if you bought in a bulk). They do say that Austria is one of the richest EU countries. I’m glad we are not having SteemFest there! But that is exactly the reason you post about beer, you say? And you are right, my friend! There was a merch and food tent. Both were quite appealing! If someone from Bevog reads this, thank you for charging my phone. There would be no review otherwise. The line for taps was busy at all times but there was plenty of space so no one really waited that long. All the breweries seemed top notch and you felt like it while sipping. I'll cover the beer itself in another post. During the evening hours there were a few bands playing but since the rain was barring the approach to the stage I enjoyed the tunes only from a distance. Children had their fun corner while the parents tasted. A good call by the organizers! @mesteerboom would enjoy himself for sure! In the corner an insta-brew machine. It was steaming and pouring but I dared not touch anything. I was through 25 tokens already. I disliked that they didn't allow people to put up their own tents in the backyard this year. There is obviously more than enough room there. On the other hand, it might have been too cold anyway. Hopefully they change their mind next year. Stay tuned for the next review edition when I plan on saying a few words about the beer itself. Memories are a bit blurry though, I admit!
