Six Great Tools Available To The EOS Community | Great read for noobs : )

It is hard to believe that the EOS block chain has only be up and running for 3 months by looking what is already available to the community. Great tools have been developed by EOS Block Producers and others to help keeping the community informed, safe and educated.

Below is 6 of my favorite tools currently available: 1.  All things EOS:  EOS Arabia has developed a website that is a one stop shop for all things regarding EOS. They have a useful index that makes it easy to find things you might be looking for. The website covers anything from Block Producers, Voting Portals, Live dApps, Explorers, Live Games, Airdrops and many more categories. It is a great site if you want to find anything regarding EOS. 2.  Alerts:  EOS Authority has developed many tools over the last few months. I really like their Alerts Tool. By adding your EOS address to their Alerts Tool you get email notifications each time there is activity on your EOS account. It is a great tool to get notified of any Airdrops to your account, but also will help you to keep your tokens safe from any unwanted actions. 3.  Voting Decay tracking:  The Voting Decay tracking tool is another useful tool from EOS Authority. The governance of EOS is very important and we need to stay involved as a community. One way of ensuring that EOS evolve and grow in the way the community wants is to regularly vote for Block Producers that best serve the EOS community. Voting Decay has been built into EOS software to encourage EOS token holders to vote for Block Producers on a regular basis. By entering your EOS account number in the Voting Decay Tool it shows how much you’re voting has decayed and is a useful reminder to refresh your votes on a regular basis. 4.  Airdrops:  EOS owners are rewarded on a regular basis with Airdrops. There are many different website where you can track EOS Airdrops, but my favorite is eosdrops.io/. They have a clean user interface listing all the Airdrops in alphabetical sequence indicating the snap shot and drop dates. By entering your EOS account name you can see all the tokens already air dropped to your account. 5.  Explorer:  Explorers helps you to track all activity on your EOS account. There are many different EOS explores available – my favorite is bloks.io/. By entering you EOS account number into the search tool bar you get an immediate overview of your account; e.g. the total number of EOS tokens, tokens staked CPU and NET, total of un-staked tokens, and all actions on your account. The site has a nice user interface and is easy to navigate. 6.  Wallet:  I am eagerly awaiting the release of an EOS hardware wallet. It seems that a number of hardware wallets will be available in the near future. Until then there are a number of “software” wallets currently available. Reading up on a number of reviews I have decided to go with the Greymass Wallet. Their wallet is called EOS-Voter and is available from Github. The wallet is easy download, install and to use. You can use the wallet to vote for Block Producers, stake tokens, and to send and receive EOS tokens. I am very excited to see what has already been developed for the EOS community in just 3 months. I can’t wait to see and explore what is coming up for the future. Please add your favorite tools in the comments field to help grow the knowledge for the EOS community.
