Step 1: Make a CoinBase AccountCoinbase let's you purchase Bitcoin. You do not have to buy a whole Bitcoin, you can buy a part of a bitcoin, such as .1 or even .01.This can be done directly with a Bank Account that you connect to Coinbase.Step 2: It will take 9 days to receive your bitcoin in your Coinbase account, in the mean time, create a Bitstamp account. It will take a few days to verify your Bitstamp account, so get it done.Step 3: Once you get the Bitcoin in your Coinbase account, transfer it to your Bitstamp account. This is very self-explanatory. You will have a Wallet Code in your Bitstamp account that you can input in your Coinbase account. This will tell Coinbase how much Bitcoin to send to your Bitstamp account. Step 4: It might takes a few hours for your Bitstamp account to receive your Bitcoin. Don't worry, this is fine. Just wait a bit.Step 5: Transfer Bitcoin for Ripple ("XRP" is the symbol) in your Bitstamp account. Step 6: You are not done, Bitstamp has been hacked before and make sure to backup all your cryptocurrency with external hard-drives called Ledger Nanos. It's like a USB Flashdrive for cryptocurrency (cryptocurrency are things like Bitcoin and Ripple). You can easily buy them on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZTF5PC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B071ZTF5PC&linkCode=as2&tag=truthmarket-20&linkId=344b6200c1e8fdef29cca405172a95f2The above link is an affiliate and you DO NOT have to back up your cryptocurrency. I HIGHLY recommend it. Cryptocurrency sites are huge targets for hackers, a simple Google search will confirm that. Also, I am not encouraging you to buy any type of Cryptocurrency, I am not a financial advisor of any sort. It just took me a while to figure out how to do it and I wanted to write up a really simple blog to help people out there. The more people that buy Ripple, the more powerful it will be. I'll write a walk-though blog of how to backup your cryptocurrency with a Ledger Nano. I haven't done it yet, currently waiting for mine to arrive.
