Read the latest Byteball email newsletter: Fun New Distribution

Read the latest Byteball email newsletter: Fun new distribution We have a fun new distribution starting soon, it’s rather different to what we have done recently. Some differences: The more Bytes you hold in your wallet, the more likely you are to win more! Blackbytes (the privacy coin of the platform) will also be distributed, not just Bytes There is a random/gaming element It’s worth noting, by volume this distribution will be small, around 100–200 Gigabytes of Bytes and Blackbytes per week. Branding update As we wrote recently, we are currently working with a branding agency. The Byteball name is one of the things under review. If you have spent much time on our subreddit, you are probably aware that many, many alternative names have been suggested by the community over the nearly 2 years of our existence. Part of the work being done with the branding agency has been reviewing possible alternative names from a list of just over 100. This list has been whittled down to the strongest contenders, with trademark and linguistic work being done on these. We are close to having a new name! Default witness list update A few weeks ago we presented our first decentralized witness candidate to the community and asked for feedback. Responses we received on Rogier were overwhelmingly positive, with many people updating their witness list to include him as witness. As a result, we have added Rogier’s witness address to the default list that gets pushed to wallets when they connect to the main hub. We kindly ask all other hub operators to do the same. Did you forget why Byteball has witnesses, but Bitcoin and Ethereum do not? You are not alone, the role of witnesses is sometimes misunderstood. This video explains the basics. If you see a message in your wallet about the witness change and are not sure what to do, follow this advice. Ask Me Anything with Tony Founder and lead developer Tony spent a significant amount of time answering a lot of questions on our subreddit earlier this week. There were some very insightful questions and answers, from future distributions to the single most difficult thing to solve in the design of Byteball. So, if you want to learn a lot about the project from the man that knows more than anyone, read this thread! Thanks to everyone that took the time to participate. Work opportunity — mobile front-end developer We looking for a front-end developer to join the team. The ideal candidate needs to be familiar with nativescript, or at least be able to learn fast. If you are interested please apply sending your CV to Luke (at) Byteball.org with “front-end developer” in the subject line. More details can be found on this post. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Have a question about the Byteball project? Best ask it on the Byteball subreddit.
