The primary objective of this program is to raise awareness and expand Qtum’s offline communities. The Qtum Foundation aims to empower the grassroots efforts by democratizing in-person activities, effectively giving power to users of the platform. The size of Qtum, as one of the larger cryptocurrency platforms, lends it able to foster vibrant face-to-face interactions worldwide. With the long-term growth and performance of the Qtum ecosystem in mind, it is important to aim for a more global extension of the community. The Qtum Foundation wants to reach out and create conditions for a broad community which is growing and self-reinforcing. In practice, it is vital to engage individuals at the grassroots level. Creating a platform and community where interested individuals, ranging from blockchain experts to nontechnical people, can meet and gather information about the technology is important for the Qtum ecosystem in terms of market adoption. Initially, the ambassador program will be kickstarted where prospective ambassadors illustrate local enthusiasm and we encourage anyone fitting the criteria to apply regardless of geographic location. The program will expand to more cities if a positive impact is seen in the communities involved in the program. What Responsibilities Will The Ambassadors Have? Clear and transparent guidelines will be provided to each ambassador to make sure they act in the interest of the community. The key responsibility of an ambassador is hosting offline activities, meetups, and hackathons but can also include other tasks such as assisting the Qtum Foundation team at conferences. The ambassadors will be provided with resources to host meetups frequently and will be responsible for the logistics surrounding the events. Making the meetups accessible for the whole community is something that is of great interest to the foundation, therefore, every ambassador is encouraged to live stream all events. Who Are We Looking For? Anyone is welcome and encouraged to apply for the ambassadorship. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and already have an understanding of the QTUM ecosystem and comprehensive knowledge of the blockchain space. You are required to remain active in the local blockchain community and it’s a large plus if you have prior experience in hosting and attending tech-related meetups. The ambassador is required to be fluent in English, however, the meetups do not have to be held in English. What’s In It For The Ambassadors?
