MyBit’s Roadmap: Our vision for the future This week, we thought we’d share something we’ve been working on for a while now. We know how important it is to keep the community informed with what the team are up to and so we wanted to publish our ultimate blueprint: the MyBit roadmap. More than just a statement of all the features we’ll be incorporating into the MyBit ecosystem, we hope it shows our ambitious vision for the future. A future where anyone is able to invest in the power of machines in the easiest, fastest and safest way possible. So here’s our technical roadmap for the MyBit DApp. It sets each features we’re going to implement at every stage of development. Enjoy! v0.1 (testnet) Asset Funding: A variety of IoT Assets will be available for crowdfunding and revenue generation will be simulated on the testnet. Explore Filters: A range of sorting and filtering tools to narrow down investment opportunities. Portfolio Tracking: A section to track overall portfolio value and total asset revenues. v0.2 (testnet) Onboarding and Tutorial: A fully developed UI/UX for registering as an investor with a useful how-to guide to get investors started. Knowledge Base: A support page, FAQs page, video guides and other helpful resources. MetaMask Guided Installation: An inbuilt how-to guide to install MetaMask. My Assets Section to Portfolio: Sections for individual assets, unrealized profits, individual ROIs, ownership percentages and ‘contribute more’ features added. Block Sync Status: View your connection status to the Ethereum network at a glance, straight from the header bar. v0.3 (testnet) User Accounts: Added functionality for investors to add and update their personal information. Watching Assets: Investors can now favourite and save assets during the funding period to monitor their progress. Notifications: New desktop and user notifications for actions to be completed, important alerts and other events. Burning/User Access: Users can now burn the MyBit token to access features on the platform. Bitcoin to Ethereum Relays, Ethereum to Fiat Relays: Configuration of servers to automate Bitcoin ATM payments to MyBit DApp smart contracts for automated revenue distribution. v0.4 (testnet) Onboarding for Asset Managers: Asset managers can now register on the platform. User Accounts: Asset managers can also add and update their personal information. MYB Escrow: Asset managers must place MYB as collateral with dynamic percentages. Listing Assets: Asset managers can now list assets and choose a revenue share (via variable percentages). v0.5 (testnet) MYDAX Functionality: Users can now buy/sell units of assets they’ve funded on the MyBit platform. v0.6 (mainnet) CELESTINE Alpha Launch: We launch our Alpha and switch to mainnet, incorporating KYC and initial transfer of testnet assets to the mainnet. When the mainnet goes live, the testnet will be used to try out new features before they go live on the mainnet. v0.7 (mainnet) Asset Manager Profiles: Users can view certain personal information about asset managers (we value privacy, but also investor protection). In addition, users can view their history of actions on the platform, including financial metrics. (testnet) Voting on Asset Managers: We implement Aragon (currently this is planned, but subject to change depending on a better internal solution, or other suitable technology). Investors in an asset can use consensus voting protocols to vote out and replace an asset manager. v0.8 (mainnet) Trust Ratings: Asset manager trust ratings and rankings are added (with icons based on performance and history on the platform). Advanced Sorting and Filtering: More possibilities for investors to narrow down investment opportunities. We’ll also add a reworked ‘my assets’ section of the portfolio to monitor already funded assets. (testnet) MYDAX, Existing IoT Assets: Added ability to tokenize existing IoT assets, which are already deployed and generating revenue but were not funded via the MyBit DApp. This will create liquidity and a market for historically illiquid secondary market assets. v0.9 (mainnet) Voting on Asset Managers: This feature transitions from testnet to mainnet. (testnet) Staking: We will release more details on this closer to release. v1.0 Launch Launch: We launch Version 1.0 with all the core features of the MyBit ecosystem live on Ethereum’s mainnet. (mainnet) MYDAX IoT Assets: All existing assets transition from testnet to mainnet. Staking: We also transition staking from testnet to mainnet. v2.0 Launch Launch: We launch Version 2.0, featuring even more decentralization (bigchain, IPFS and more consensus protocols). We’ll also be adding more advanced features like upgrades to staking, as well as the addition of ETFs and investment DAOs. And that’s just the start.
