I SUPPORT DTUBE: My Thoughts on the Issues with Dtube and Dlive. — Steemit

Those are some really excellent points @reseller. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of the platforms, and the likely scenario that both will thrive. I've not been doing this a long time, but the decentralization of DTube and IPFS was one of the key factors for me in deciding where I wanted to focus my time and energy. Is it challenging? Of course it is. The underlying technology is climbing towards maturity at the same time that DTube is being built on top of it, and that is not an instantaneous process. Your discussion of the importance of community and family is also exactly on point. While I have a lot of technical reasons to be very optimistic and excited about the technology stack underlying Steem, IPFS and DTube, the most profoundly important part of this grand experiment for me so far has been the encouragement and support and inspirational examples I have found in the DTube family. There is no good reason for an us vs. them approach to the applications that are leveraging the Steem blockchain. The fact that they exist is a positive thing for the ecosystem. I love DLive, they are doing some amazing work. Same with DTube. It is an incredible priviledge to be able to use these tools, and it is our responsibility to help them become more vibrant destinations for people who love to create things.
