How BCB ATM a UK based startup became king of bitcoin ATMs

Earlier today, Landry Ntahe, the CEO of BCB ATM in an interview explained how the startup was able to achieve its goal of becoming the King of Bitcoin ATMs in the UK so fast. Last year the company revealed its ambition of becoming the leading bitcoin ATM operator in the UK. They wanted to expand rapidly so they installed seven bitcoin ATMs in the country. This at the time was able to propel them to the second spot among bitcoin ATM machines operators.

A few months later their strategy has worked. In just eleven months, the startup has experienced a 528.07% increase in revenue according to Landry Ntahe. What is more impressive is that the company now holds the top spot in the country when it comes to bitcoin vending machines operators. Their share market has also jumped from 16% to 28%. They own 32 out of the 113 bitcoin vending machines in the UK. Ntahe says they aim to add at least 5 to 10 new ATM machines every month. Their rate of growth has been tremendous. The company installed only three bitcoin vending machines between October 2015 and October 2016. But in 2017 things picked up. Since then the startup has averaged at least one installation per month. BCB ATM offers both one way and two-way vending machines for buying and selling bitcoin. Part of their success though, as Ntahe admits, was due to the price hike of bitcoin towards the end of last year. He says they experienced 100.92% increase in revenue between August and December of 2017. However as the crypto market has experienced a massive correction this year, it has had a negative impact on their growth. Their revenue has contracted to 56.82% between January and February of 2018. But what’s more encouraging is that they have at least achieved their goal of being King of Bitcoin ATMs in the UK. What do you think of BCB success story? Does the company deserve to be King of Bitcoin ATMs in the UK? Let us know in the comment section below.
