Hedera: The World’s Most Important Network - How Hedera is stealthily becoming the worlds most important crypto network

Hedera is also unique for its governance structure. Rather than having individuals run nodes, the current 25 nodes are run by companies across the world and across industries. The governing council is spread across every continent except Antarctica. The companies are distributed across many sectors - universities, banks, nuclear energy, telecommunications, industrial manufacturers, etc. The companies have an incentive to keep the network running or risk reputational damage. All members have a 3 year maximum term, allowing for new companies to get involved. By allowing large institutions to govern, the network can change and adapt to the needs of different sectors over time, ensuring the network continues to be utilized. With backing from large institutions like Google, Boeing, and IBM, Hedera Hashgraph isn’t going anywhere.
