Finally someone compared TenX and all other card Bitcoin cards

Does Bitwala have the best bitcoin debit card on the market? As Bitcoin acceptance and user base explodes, due to the recent surge past $7000 and its adoption as an official currency by many countries, users around the world have started looking for the best ways of spending it. Despite the corresponding growing number of merchants that accept bitcoin as a payment method, transaction fees when it comes to micropayments are still a major obstacle to paying with bitcoin everywhere. Consequently, one easy way of spending your coins everywhere becomes a bitcoin debit card. What is a Bitcoin debit card? Similar to your bank card that is denominated in a single currency, once you load it with money, Bitcoin cards also come in different local currencies. The most common currencies are USD, GBP, and Euro, which the Bitwala bitcoin card is denominated in. Once topped up, you can spend your coins anywhere you go, whether online or offline. You can use your card to pay for coffee at your local store, book flights online or cash out at any ATM when you’re traveling. Why we conducted this study Not all bitcoin cards are created equally and provide the same benefits. We believe it is important to highlight the key distinctions between various bitcoin debit cards available on the market to whoever is considering to purchase or is currently using one. Back in July, we performed a comparison of different bitcoin debit cards available on the market. Due to growing demand, we have added more contenders and added new comparisons of the Bitwala debit card against Advcash, Capitalist, Satoshitango, and of course TenX. When it comes to TenX, our snapshot comparison found that, despite TenX offering zero loading fees, it has an average margin of 1.76%, significantly higher compared to Bitwala’s 0.61%. To see a more detailed breakdown of how the Bitwala debit card leads the bitcoin debit card race, click here. Methodology In our card comparison, we compared the prices between the relevant providers and Bitstamp, an online bitcoin and Altcoin exchange, to show how big the spread really is. We would like to remind you that our comparison is only a snapshot of the exchange rates, therefore we can only show what the margins were at that time. We are in no way claiming that these variables are always the same and invite you to base your conclusion on your own experience and make your own comparison. We compared the cost of the Bitwala debit card from service providers that offer to accept converted bitcoin as payment. We obtained the information shown from the relevant provider websites on October 10th 2017 in 15 random time slots within ±24 hours. Registered trademarks listed here serve as a necessary reference to the subject matter of the services in accordance with Section 23 of the Trademark Law (§23 des Markenrechts). We invite you to form your own opinion With the exception of the margin (the difference between the relevant provider’s Bitcoin to Euro rate and that of Bitstamp), all of the criteria used in the table above were shown on the respective provider’s website on October 10th, 2017. We have included timestamps in which the information was collected. To see how high the exchange rate is, we need to compare the price which bitcoin is bought for. It is also worth noting that the Bitwala debit card is not merely a Bitcoin debit card, it can also be loaded with over 70 altcoins to spend easily anywhere. Future Outlook Following our ICO we will introduce a few upgrades to our prepaid cards. Firstly, we will introduce a coinsback program to give back to users each time they spend with their card. Secondly, we will expand our altcoin acceptance and we will give users a more native experience from the Bitwala dashboard. Moreover, the new cards will support Android and Apple Pay. Lastly, we strive to make the card accessible to more people around the globe. Previously, our cards were limited to European territories. This will be extended globally when we become the first licensed German based blockchain bank. Find out the rest of our projects by reading our whitepaper.
