ENS is now supported on LocalCryptos

ENS is now supported on LocalCryptos Published 09 January 2020 TL;DR: You can now send crypto with your LocalCryptos web wallet to a .eth, .luxe or .xyz name. LocalCryptos has joined the rapidly growing list of more than 80 wallets and apps supporting ENS, making sending crypto with your web wallet easier than ever. ENS is the Ethereum Name Service, a distributed, open, and extensible naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain. It’s a system that allows for the resolution of wallet addresses using human-readable names. Much like how DNS allows you to type google.com into your browser instead of 216.58.200.110, ENS links your wallet address to a name like alice.eth. The Ethereum Name Service bridges the gap between human-readable names and machine-readable addresses. ENS currently supports .eth, .luxe and .xyz names. For more information on the ENS, check out the official website. LocalCryptos now supports ENS We built an ENS resolver inside your LocalCryptos web wallet. When you go to send crypto, you can now enter a .eth, .luxe or .xyz name as the recipient. The self-custodial web wallet will lookup the associated address in real-time using the Ethereum blockchain. Type your .eth address rather than 0x1000000200036100020807400002309834089000472000090300048000098573000000580954890400000500008094000000050000045000000990… Multi-coin support (EIP-2304) LocalCryptos supports multi-coin ENS names (EIP-2304). It’s less-known that ENS is compatible with Bitcoin and other crypto wallets. You can point alice.eth to an address on any blockchain. With multi-coin support, you can use one human-readable name for all your crypto wallets, enjoying the benefits of ENS everywhere, such as censorship-resistance, programmability, security, and decentralization. All LocalCryptos wallets now support ENS, including Bitcoin. LocalCryptos web wallets are self-custodial, meaning only you have control over your funds. Your keys, your crypto. LocalCryptos is a peer-to-peer crypto marketplace with more than 100,000 users worldwide with traders in 100+ countries (Venezuela being #1). It’s the most popular non-custodial fiat on/off-ramp. So far this month, users have opened 3,514 trades on LocalCryptos totaling $800,000. Follow @localethereum
