EGGIES World: Open Beta Review

I was one of the lucky first 150 people who got an invitation to the closed beta of Eggies, a blockchain based game on the Tron Network, developed by Stache and Della. If you’re like me, by now you should be tired of all the gambling and pyramid scheme type games on the Tron Network. Well, Eggies is a breath of fresh air. I wasted no time and got in the middle of it. I created a new account on the Tron Network, sent one of my precious EGG tokens to that address, clicked on the invitation link and boom. I was in. The game rules are easy to understand, but the mechanics behind them seem to be more complex. Basically, you have to feed your EGG daily. By feeding your EGG, three things will happen: It will gain XP + stats boost+ ORBZ It will hatch and become a beautifully designed unique monster (I have yet to find two monsters that look the same) It will expand its lifespan (you need to feed it specific tokens from the marketplace for this) There are a large number of EGG types that can be played, each spawning a different type of monster and some of them even giving unique or additional rewards. The four main categories are : SEEDEGG — Beside the regular EGG tokens, 100 SEED EGG tokens were issued for the first 100 people who invested 2500 SEED or more in the SeedGerminator EGGIES project. The rewards for SEEDEGG holders are given exclusively in SEED, which makes it extremely valuable considering SEED’s growth potential GAMEPLAY The key to mastering the game is to understand what your EGG/Monster likes to eat. There are over 2 thousand tokens on the Tron Network according to TronTokens, and 99% of them are as useless as a bag of sand in the desert. That is, until now. These cute and evil little buggers like to eat these useless tokens! Each token will give your EGG/Monster a different number of XP points + Different stats + Orbs. Suddenly, these useless tokens are not so useless anymore. Your goal is to be #1 at the end of the day, so that you can receive the highest reward from the daily TRX Reward pool. Finding the tokens that your monster likes best will give you the highest number of XP points and the best stats, and that will catapult you to the top of the ranking. Keep in mind you can only feed your EGG/Monster 50 times each day. Besides feeding your EGG/Monster, you can also train it in one of the 5 different environments. You can only train it 4 times each day, and it costs 5 TRX each. This training will redistribute your stats and grant you a bonus XP (highest XP can be obtained in your monster’s favorite environment — you need to find it). Earning TRX in EGGIES is not limited to the daily reward pool distribution. Players have the option to poison their enemies, which decreases their XP and causes them to go down on the leader board. If someone poisons you, half the cost of the poison will be sent to you as a reward, and the other half will go to EGGIES to be distributed towards stakeholders and partners (TRX pool, EGGUITY, partners etc.). The idea here is to outrank other players by poisoning them. Yes, you may lose some TRX by poisoning them, but a higher rank means a higher reward for you at the end of the day. The latest addition to the game is the ability to share your cute lil’ EGG/Monster to the world through a link. There is no login necessary from the viewer, so that anyone can view your EGGPOWER, XP, Stats and most importantly, TRX earned ! This action will not only generate more buzz for the EGGIES game, but it also grants you a maximum of 50 XP per day if your EGG/Monster is viewed by enough people. WHERE DO THE REWARDS COME FROM? The financial part of the game is simple and sustainable. EGGIES is staking a large amount of TRX (obtained via SEEDGERMINATOR funding and partnerships) to vote for SesameSeed, which generates daily income. This income becomes the daily TRX reward pool which is then distributed towards players based on their ranking. WHAT’S NEXT? Currently the EGGIES team is planning to add more player slots in order to grow the player base and test the scalability and game servers. This means more slots will be available each week, so be on the lookout for new slots. Additionally, the team is working on a live players rank rewards chart. It will be interesting to see just how much TRX the top players can make in the future. The ORBZ will be tradable in Professor Eggies Hideout once the game launches. There, different prizes will be available. The prizes can be food or items that will give your EGG/Monster certain perks. Some of the items will only be available for a limited time or have a limited supply. THE BOTTOM LINE It’s nice to play a game that rewards you for playing it. I’ve played EGGIES beta for 3 days. I’ve earned so far around 240 TRX which translates to around $5 at the time of writing. It’s not a large amount, but I’ve had a lot of fun playing this game and didn’t have to spend more than 20–30 minutes each day doing so. This means playing EGGIES can generate a monthly income of around $50 easily. I was never in the top 10 or 20 at the end, before TRX distribution, which means higher amounts can be obtained with a bit of work, common sense and luck. The game graphics have a unique minimalist tone, the transactions are performed extremely fast, everything is recorded on the blockchain and with a simple interface you can see your transaction history in-game. EGGIES provides daily rewards, an awesome community, rising competition and a large number of partnerships and opportunities. The team has vision, plans for content, gameplay and conducted a flawless beta launch. The EGG/Monster/Token designs are highly dissimilar and the token reward (XP + stats) differs for every EGG/Monster. The potential EGGIES has to go viral and bring the masses on the Tron Network is phenomenal. See you ingame! P.S. Make EGGPLANT famous ! He was just a little eggplant when war came to his eggcountry.
