Booming blockchain industries across Europe We combined Coin Market Cap’s Top 250 list and our own internal resources to compile a list of 57 Europe-based businesses. As expected, we found a heavy weighting towards fintech, with a high number of players in the exchanges, wallet providers and investment sectors. We also noted a relatively high number of blockchain companies focused on the energy industry. Of 57 businesses with headquarters in Europe, we believe that the highest number of blockchain startups are based in Switzerland, followed by Slovenia and the United Kingdom. The research is based on CoinMarketCap listing as of 27 July 2017 and our internal resources. We estimate 57 of these businesses have headquarters in Europe. Did we miss something?
