Comparison: EOS vs ETH dApps.

Comparison: EOS vs. Ethereum dApps dApps are applications that are built on decentralized, blockchain platforms. With multitudes of platforms on the market, it can be difficult to differentiate between which is the right fit for you. To make it a bit easier, we thought we’d put together a comparison between EOS and Ethereum — both fantastic platforms with their own, unique merits — and see which one takes first place. Users When comparing gambling platforms built on EOS and Ethereum respectively, we found that those built on EOS far outperformed Ethereum. The casino with the highest number of users in 24 hours was BetDice, with 5,824 users (built on EOS). Contrastingly, the casino with the highest number of users when built on Ethereum, Mobius 2D, peaked at 158 users in 24 hours. Volume Volume refers to the number of times a cryptocurrency has changed hands during a certain period of time, usually 24 hours. When examining token exchanges built on Ethereum versus EOS, things get a little murky. DEXEOS, an EOS exchange, has a volume of 47,708.82 EOS in a 24 hour period, while IDEX, an Ethereum platform has a volume of 4,008.91 ETH. With that being said, IDEX has far more users than DEXEOS and is a more established exchange. This could be due to IDEX having more users because it was launched before DEXEOS. Transactions The number of transactions that took place on IDEX in a 24 hour period amounts to 12,119, while DEXEOS had only 2,688. Transactions over EOS are much faster than over Ethereum, but Ethereum is still a more established platform in terms of exchange transactions. Within the last 24 hours, Bitcoin had 239,046.00 transactions occur over the entire platform, and Ethereum had 481,678.00. In contrast, EOSBet — an EOS dApp — had 542,709.00 transactions. That’s one dApp versus two of the biggest cryptocurrencies. Findings After comparing the users, transactions, and volume of the top 3 gambling platforms, marketplaces, and exchange dApps on the platform, we discovered the following: Overall, both EOS and Ethereum have something to offer that the other cannot. With that being said, EOS is becoming a more sought-after platform for building dApps. It provides more transactions per hour, a growing user-base, and more volume. EOS is what we’ve been waiting for, and over 100 developers have already taken advantage of that. It really is the perfect platform for building dApps, and we can’t want to see where it goes.
